Some questions to ponder as you read Frankenstein: What makes a monster? What makes a man? Should man tamper with creating life? What about modifying life? (like genetic modification) Is man ever right in destroying human life? When? What about other life? When?
Suggested supplemental reading: The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Lewis Stevenson, The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo (I personally haven't read this one, so can't vouch for it)
